New Music: Go Tell It on the Mountain/He is Born the Divine Christ Child
Here's my new arrangement of these two great Christmas songs.
Have you ever been singing with friends, when one person decides to try something unexpected, and the rest go along with it, and pretty soon you're making up harmonies, intertwining melodies, and having a magical, musical jam session that ties your hearts and your memories together, and makes the music more yours than it's ever been before? That's the feeling I'm trying to channel in this arrangement, but on the scale of a choir. It's playful, responsive, and still true to the joyful worship these songs are meant to inspire. It's also free, so please download and use it.
Here's the sheet music:
And here's a link to it on Muse Score, which may help you in rehearsal.
If you perform it, I'd love to hear about it, or even hear a recording!
